PT. MRT Jakarta Helps to Upgrade MSMEs

PT. Mass Tapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta is highly committed to support growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
During the pandemic, we also give monthly rental relaxation by charging Rp 0 or free rental since April 2020
So far, there are number of UMKM brands spread across three MRT stations that are crowded with passengers.
1. Lebak Bulus Grab Station

Moreover, there are Wande Jajan and Wande Seni which are cooperatives fostered by PT. MRT Jakarta that sell MSME products and outlets of Jakarta Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda)
2. Fatmawati Station
Batik Shio (fashion), Komma (fashion), Lemper Purnama (snack), and Honey Loaf Bakery (bread).
3. Dukuh Atas BNI Station

PT. MRT Jakarta Construction Director, Silvia Halim mentioned, her side is not only providing place for MSMEs, but also series of incubation programs starting from aspects of development and empowerment, as well as providing job opportunities to help accelerating their business development.
"Cost to rent a trade place is also offered at very affordable price of Rp 1.3 million includes outlets, electricity, and water facilities, as well as system point of sales. During the pandemic, we also give monthly rental relaxation by charging Rp 0 or free rental since April 2020," she explained, Friday (2/26).
Moreover, training for MSMEs are still conducted virtually, especially for fashion and craft sectors about innovating and identifying market's new needs due to pandemic, such as making masks, creating digital content, and marketing training.
"We are currently implementing digital transformation, not only for PT. MRT Jakarta company, but also for its ecosystem, including partners and MSMEs. We will display all MSMEs profiles in our MRT-J application," she conveyed.
Meanwhile, Creative Director of RA, one of the assisted MSMEs, Restu Anggraini appreciated PT. MRT Jakarta's efforts in providing marketing access to fashion business. This way, her brand can be widely known by the public.
"Opening shop at MRT station makes it easy for everyone to see. It also facilitates us to find new markets such as office uniforms. MRT opens bigger market for our brand," she conveyed.
